Introduction

This field-based role involves managing existing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and providing technical support to customers in engineering, manufacturing, and industrial environments across the Midlands. You will identify customer needs and promote technical products, working with internal teams and product specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Visit existing and prospective customers to identify needs and promote technical products and services.
  • Manage and develop customer accounts.
  • Generate and qualify sales leads, working with specialists where required.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate with customers, and close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and CRM activity.
  • Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events when required.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical sales, field sales, or account management.
  • Background in measurement, metrology, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial products is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications.
  • Good organisation and territory management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the sales region.
